About us
Political action committees (PAC) often get a bad rep. We want to redefine what they can be.

Keep Hawai‘i Home is an organization led by young people to address the cost of living for local people. We were founded on the belief that change comes through the people we elect and the laws that they pass.

We use our platform to make that change, advocating on elections and issues that impact young people's ability to stay here.

Why we're here
A report found that “Hawai‘i is the third most expensive state" in the country. This has led to thousands of local people leaving. They just can’t afford to live here anymore.

For local people, it only feels like it’s getting worse.

Housing costs are a major part of the problem. A 2022 report found that Hawai‘i’s median home value was the highest in the nation. This is partially because of complicated laws and slow government. In other words, we’re making things harder for ourselves.
​
In fact, we were ranked the worst among all States in how hard we make it to build housing for local people. Until this changes, they’ll keep leaving.
​
That’s why we need to take matters into our own hands.
